Habitat by Honestbee

Habitat by Honestbee is a technology-integrated shopping and dining destination, designed as a physical and experiential extension to Honestbee's online grocery shopping app. Located in an existing warehouse building, the space is conceived as an open-air market with multiple components like groceries, food, cafes, bookshop, event spaces and other dining concepts laid out along meandering paths to create adjacencies between the different sections, and also to allow for unexpected discoveries for the customer. Multiple customer touch-points and sensorial engagements were created to allow for new experiences to be found at every visit. An elevated  conveyor belt runs through the space, serving the online grocery orders received by the company. The material palette is kept relatively simple, consisting of wood, cement, grey and cream terrazzo tiles with a sprinkling of colours. The original opaque facade walls were opened up to bring in daylight and the lush greenery from the outside, adding a sense of spaciousness and the outdoors; making the experience more enjoyable and to entice customers to linger and hang out, adding a communal and social dimension to the destination.
